I. JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. POSITION PURPOSE:
The role of Business Development Support (BDS) entails tasks and processes to develop and implement growth opportunities within Vivu Journeys. You are a proactive member of the Business Development Team reporting to the Business Development Support Team Leader. You are going to work closely with regional teams ensuring the execution of the tender invitation from a prospect/client and guarantee all the relevant Vivu Journeys departments will work on specific guidelines and in a timely manner. You are entirely part of the growth of the company, winning a new account being the first milestone before the customer journeys kicks off. You are expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Client’s brand, expectations and standards, and be keen for success.
2. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Sales:
- In charge of Business Development Support for all Vivu Journeys destinations
- Analyze client requirements and design tailored travel programs aligned with customer needs.
- Collaborate with Market Leads to develop account strategies and identify opportunities to win new business.
- Take ownership of the full sales cycle, including proposal development, follow-up, and client conversion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments to ensure effective tender preparation and delivery.
- Prepare detailed costings, quotations, and competitive proposals for tenders and client requests.
- Proactively research market trends and recommend initiatives to drive business growth.
- Monitor client conversion performance on a monthly and quarterly basis and implement appropriate follow-up actions.
- Represent the company in meetings with partners, clients, and during account visits or FAM trips when required.
Support:
- Liaise with relevant teams once a tender is won to get all itineraries and prices loaded in the system
- Make sure the services get renegotiated to ensure profit is maximized
- Contribute ideas to enhance product development and improve overall client experience.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader (such as training newcomers, backing up team member, preparing reports, etc…).
- Maintain transparent communication by sharing updates, feedback, and operational insights with relevant teams.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, destinations, systems, and procedures.
- Actively seek feedback to enhance individual performance and professional growth.
- Participate in training programs to strengthen technical, commercial, and operational competencies.
- Demonstrate a proactive learning mindset and actively contribute to new initiatives and projects.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in tourism or hospitality management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in DMC environment (Solid sales record is a big plus).
- Personal travel or operational experience in one or more destinations where Vivu Journeys operates is an advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (French/ German is a plus).
- Demonstrated experience in managing or supporting tender accounts is a big plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
