1. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
The FMC Student Internship benefits both the U.S. Embassy and students by providing a valuable educational and job-training experience to students while assisting the U.S. Embassy in accomplishing important mission goals.
The FMC Student Intern will be responsible for:
- Support team with filling and maintaining the digital master file;
- Manage incoming and outgoing documents in both digital and paper form;
- Provide support with simple transactions in the accounting system. In addition, the intern will assist with general FMC administrative tasks.
This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in FMC operations and contribute to FMC team’s success.
2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must address requirement listed below with specific information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.
- Students must be at least 18 years old at the time of participation in the program.
- Students who are either Vietnamese citizens or Vietnamese permanent legal residents are eligible for the intern program. For permanent legal residents, a valid legal residency permit is required for consideration.
- Students must be in good academic standing at their current educational institution and provide a certified transcript and must provide written permission from the educational institution in which the student is enrolled.
- Students must be currently enrolled as a college/university student in Vietnam through the entire duration of the internship.
- Students must be able to obtain and hold the medical and security certification from the Embassy.
3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENT:
- Proficient in computer skills Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Detailed-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong logical and critical thinking, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English.
- Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese.
