The University of Canberra offers a limited number of University Research Scholarships to enable highly qualified international students to undertake full-time study towards a Higher Degree by Research. These scholarships are highly competitive, with less than 10% of applicants receiving an award in the previous round. Selection is based on several factors, including academic merit, strategic alignment, the quality of the research proposal, research experience (including publications), and priority groups.
Eligibility:
- Domestic (Australian citizens/permanent residents, NZ citizens)
- International students
- Current UC PhD candidates with <2 years & confirmed candidature
- Indigenous Australian applicants
- Applicants with First-Class Honours or Master’s (min. 25% research + 80% score)
- Candidates under the National Industry PhD Program – Industry Linked Stream
