Applications for the Nailekhanim Foundation Scholarship are open for female students to pursue their Postgraduate studies in the academic year of 2024-25 at Khazar University in Azerbaijan. The Nailekhanim Foundation in Azerbaijan provides a full scholarship, covering annual tuition fees, dormitory fees, a monthly stipend for one year, and the cost of a single economy class round-trip transportation to and from Azerbaijan to a gifted female student from any country. Applicants should be determined to pursue a Master’s or Doctoral Degree at Khazar University.

Nailekhanim Foundation Scholarship covers the following costs:

• Tuition Fee
• Free Dormitory
• Monthly stipend for one year
• Costs of economy class round-trip transportation to and from Azerbaijan

Female candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Applicants should be female students from any country.
• Demonstrate high-level academic merit with a minimum A-, 90-92 percent, or 3.7 out of 4 grade point average (GPA), or equivalent, depending on the applicant’s previous university’s grading scheme.
• Provide a solid motivational essay.
• A strong interest in higher  education and high-level academic research
• Must have a sufficient level of English fluency.
• Submit a general application to Khazar University for admission to a program of choice by 1 June 2025

Applicants should submit the following supporting application documents:

• Filled Application Form
• Motivational Essay: “Describe a situation where you demonstrated or witnessed female leadership and how it made a positive difference.”

The Nailekhanim Scholarship Selection Committee is responsible for selecting the Scholarship-holder. Shortlisted candidates will have an interview with an expert panel consisting of members of the Nailekhanim Scholarship Selection Committee and other scholars and practitioners.

The decision of the Nailekhanim Scholarship Selection Committee on the chosen candidate to become the scholarship holder will be final.
