University of Winnipeg Scholarships 2026–2027 are open to international students who wish to pursue undergraduate or master’s degree programs in Canada. A total of 53 entrance scholarships are available for the upcoming academic year, each valued between $3,500 and $5,000. These awards are designed for new international students who will be enrolling at the university for the first time, helping them begin their studies with financial support.

- Graduate: $5,000
Deadline for 2026/27
- Undergraduate: 1 June 2026 (Fall 2026), 1 October 2026 (Winter 2027)
- Graduate: 1 June 2026
Eligibility
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an international student.
- Must be a student entering their first program at UWinnipeg.
- Must have the equivalent of a Canadian 80% grade average, based on Grade 12 academic courses used for admission. UWinnipeg International Credential Evaluators will complete grade conversions.
- PACE applicants will be assessed based on their post-secondary transcripts as applicable.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.
- Completed an admission application to UWinnipeg by the scholarship deadline.
- The application for admission is complete only when the admissions office has received all application fees and supporting documentation.
- Must be registered and maintain full-time course load.
How to apply
- Complete an application for admission to The University of Winnipeg.
- Your UWinnipeg student number will be assigned once you start your application for admission. Only applications with valid student ID number will be reviewed.
- Complete the web application form.
- Important! Incomplete admission packages will not be reviewed. Each applicant may only submit one application for the current cycle.
- These are the required documents you must include with this application. Please make sure they are translated in English if in another language.
