What is this program all about?
Theme: Digital Soft Power and Cultural Diplomacy in the Age of Algorithms.
Imagine the world is connected through the internet and social media. Algorithms (like the ones that decide what you see online) play a big role in what we experience.
Because of this, the way countries build “soft power” (getting others to like and respect them through culture and ideas) and do “cultural diplomacy” (using culture to connect with other countries) is changing a lot.
This International Youth Forum brings together leaders from various fields to discuss how technology, culture, and international relations are interconnected, aiming to promote understanding and dialogue in the digital age.
Objectives
- Understanding the influence of digital platforms and algorithmic systems on cultural narratives and soft power.
- Defining ethical and inclusive approaches to digital diplomacy.
- Learning from successful global and regional digital cultural diplomacy initiatives.
- Creating a global network of experts and emerging leaders at the intersection of tech and cultural diplomacy.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Program is open to all Nationals.
- Anyone 18+ studying or working in fields like International Relations, Communication, Cultural Studies, Diplomacy, Technology, Social Sciences, Media, Arts, or related disciplines.
- Those interested in digital platforms, diplomacy, or cross-cultural work are encouraged.
- IELTS is not required.
