Benefits

• For Doctoral Degrees: Monthly stipend of NTD 20,000-40,000.

Eligibility

• International students from any nation other than Taiwan are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must be in good physical and mental health.
• Applicants cannot hold multiple scholarships simultaneously.
• Must accurately complete the application form and submit all required documents as specified by the university.

Required documents

• For Bachelor’s programs: High school diploma or equivalent.
• For Master’s programs: An undergraduate/bachelor’s degree.
• For PhD programs: A completed master’s degree.
• Online Application form.
• The Highest Degree Diploma (verified with official stamps).
• The highest degree Transcript.
• Two recommendation letters.
• Passport.
• Study plan (written in English or Chinese).
• English Proficiency Certificate (Acceptance Letter, IELTS, GRE, and TOEFL are not required for the general NTHU Scholarship, but please check specific department requirements).
• Academic thesis/relevant publications (for Ph.D. program only).

• Prepare all required documents carefully.
• Go to the NTHU International Student Online Application System (Opens August 3, 2026).
• Create an account, fill out the online application, and upload all necessary documents.
• Important: On the application, make sure to tick the box next to “NTHU Scholarship” to be considered for funding.
