BENEFITS

• Scholarship Value: €3,000 - €22,000 for one year.
• Two-Year Study Programme: For two-year Master's programs, students can receive an additional UTS equal to the first-year amount for their second year, provided they maintain excellent academic standing (an average grade of 7/10 and at least 50% of European Credits at the end of the third quartile of the first year).

ELIGIBILITY 

• You must be a non-EU/EEA student and belong to an eligible country.You must belong to the best 5% to 10% of your graduation class at your home university.
• You must be (provisionally) admitted to a qualifying UT Master's programme starting in the academic year 2027/2028 (September).
• You must have a valid student number.You have not previously graduated from a University of Twente undergraduate or graduate programme.
• You comply with the conditions for obtaining a Dutch entry visa.
• You meet the English language requirement: Academic IELTS 6.5 (with an additional 6.0 on speaking skills) or TOEFL iBT 90 (with an additional 20 on speaking skills).
• You are not eligible for a Dutch study loan.

HOW TO APPLY

Applying for the UTS is a completely separate process from your university admission.

• First, you must apply for your chosen Master's programme at the University of Twente to gain an academic admission letter.
• Once you have been (conditionally) admitted and possess a student number, you may apply for the UTS.
• The scholarship application form opens on October 15, 2026, and must be submitted before the deadline on April 1, 2027, at 16:00 CET.
