Award Details
Value: £6,000 fee reduction for the first year of study.
Payment Schedule: Example based on a course fee of £19,430:
- Tuition Fee: £19,430
- VC Excellence Scholarship: £6,000 reduction
- 50% fee after scholarship: £6,715
- Deposit Payment: £5,000
- Remaining Fee for CAS Issuance: £1,715
The award is automatically considered once the applicant meets the necessary conditions, such as the £5,000 course deposit and entry requirements.
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
To be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Award:
- Offer from University: You must have an offer to study a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting in January 2025.
- Academic Requirement: Achieve a minimum 2:1 or equivalent internationally recognized undergraduate degree.
- Self-Funded: You must be an overseas, self-funded student not sponsored by any government or external body.
- Deposit Requirement: Pay your £5,000 course deposit by 30 November 2024.
- Enrollment Conditions: Meet all other conditions required by the university for enrollment.
Applicants who do not fall under these criteria, such as sponsored students or distance learners, are not eligible for this award.
Who Is Not Eligible?
Unfortunately, this award is not available to:
- Sponsored Students: Anyone sponsored by a government or employer.
- Distance Learning & Part-Time Students: Students in these categories cannot avail of this scholarship.
- Postgraduate Research Students: Only postgraduate taught programmes qualify.
There is no separate application form for this award. Once you receive an offer and meet all eligibility requirements, you will be automatically considered for the award. Your offer and conditions must be fulfilled by 30 November 2024 to secure this benefit.
The deadline for paying the £5,000 deposit to qualify for this fee reduction is 30 November 2024. If you are awarded, the fee reduction will be applied during registration in January 2025.
