International students can apply for the Master’s Degree Scholarship at the University of Hong Kong Funded by the Asian Development Bank Japan Scholarship Program. The University of Hong Kong is a Top Class University in Asia ranking 17th in the QS World University Rankings 2025. There is no application fee to apply for the ADB Scholarship. The Asian Development Bank Scholarship aims to undertake Graduate Studies Free of Cost in the fields of Economics, Management, science and technology, and other development-related fields. The Duration of the Master’s Degree Program at the University of Hong Kong is One Year.

The Following Programs are Eligible for the ADB Scholarship at the University of Hong Kong:

• Master of Urban Design Program
• Master of Science in Urban Planning Program

To be eligible for the ADB Scholarship program, candidates should:

• Be a national of an ADB member country and Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible
  country.
• Meet the General Requirements of the University.
• Hold a bachelor’s Degree.
• Have at least two years of full-time professional working experience.
• Not be more than 35 years old at the time of application.
• Agree to return and work in his/her home country for at least two years after completion of master’s study.
• Have gained admission to an approved master’s course at the University of Hong Kong.
