Funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery Project, this schoolership is seeks to develop advanced mathematical and numerical models to harness the vast energy potential present in ocean waves using piezoelectric materials. Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Countries: Australian, New Zealand, and International
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by Queensland University of Technology.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enroll as a full-time, internal student
- Commence the degree by 30 March 2025
- Have completed a research master's degree, coursework master's degree with a significant research component, first-class honours level undergraduate degree or equivalent, in applied mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline • Have experience writing numerical software in a relevant language (e.g., MATLAB, Julia, Python, or C) and modeling phenomena in fluid or solid mechanics (or both).
Offered Benefits
The scholars will receive a stipend scholarship of $32,192 per annum for a maximum duration of 3 years while undertaking a QUT PhD (1.75 years for MPhil). This is the full-time, tax-exempt rate.
