Introduction:
The aim of this PhD studentship is to comprehensively characterize clinical, cognitive, and emotion processing profiles of mentally-disordered men and women with challenging behavior residing in secure mental health facilities. Additionally, it seeks to examine how these characteristics predict therapeutic engagement and clinical outcomes. Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities.
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship covers any subject offered by Brunel University London.
- Admissible Criteria: Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree (first or upper second class) or equivalent qualification in psychology or a related field. Previous experience in mental health research, forensic psychology, neuropsychology, or cognitive neuroscience methods is desirable. English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 7.0 (minimum 6.5 in any section) is required for applicants who have not earned a degree from a UK university.
Offered Benefits
Based in and funded by the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, this studentship offers a full-time annual London rate stipend estimated at £21,237 (including London weighting) and Home/EU tuition fees, for a maximum of 36 months.
