The curriculum is best suited to those students who would like to be directly involved in promoting ASEAN - Russia cooperation, to develop and implement joint business or socio-cultural projects. The courses are intended to help graduates embrace their role as global citizens, entrepreneurs, and diplomats who seek to operate in an international and multicultural environment. The Program’s interdisciplinary approach has led to the development of several thematic courses covering such areas as regional and global processes, macroeconomics, contemporary international economy, ASEAN- Russia relations, as well as different aspects of international relations, regional integration, business cultures, and digital economy with a special emphasis on Russia and ASEAN.

- Since 2010 the ASEAN Centre operates under MGIMO University as a joint Russia-ASEAN project. The Centre carries out research on issues related to the ASEAN Member States, forges economic ties as well as promotes cultural awareness and strengthens educational opportunities between ASEAN and Russia. It has established working contacts with all ten ASEAN Member States and their universities and think tanks.

- In order to be eligible for the admissions process, applicants must have a bachelor`s degree or equivalent, relevant to the chosen field of study.
- All courses are taught in English.
- A basic command of Russian is recommended but not required.
- Admissions are carried out on the basis of students’ portfolio evaluation.

- Eligible candidates from the ASEAN Member States may apply for a grant (covering tuition and airfare from an ASEAN country to Moscow at the start of studies and back upon successful completion of the Program).
