The CUHK-MAICS Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship aims to provide an opportunity for members of underrepresented groups in postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong universities to pursue a Taught MA degree in Intercultural Studies.
We are looking for applicants who are leaders or trailblazers in different fields of cultural work and whose race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and nationality are not fully represented in our student body. We also welcome the applications of aspiring scholars who have plans to undertake doctoral research with the potential to make a significant contribution to Cultural Studies and its related fields.

Benefit
- A full tuition scholarship of HKD$190,000 per annum.
- A monthly cost-of-living stipend amounting to HK$9,000 (total living support: HK$90,000).
- The fellowship is disbursed throughout the student’s study period commencing from the start of the first semester.
Eligibility
- Priority is given to applicants with financial need who are citizens of Belt and Road Initiative countries (including Southeast Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Latin America, and Africa).
- Must be members of underrepresented groups in postgraduate programmes (e.g., in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and nationality).
- Must be leaders or trailblazers in different fields of cultural work.
- Must demonstrate strong academic qualifications and have the potential to make a significant contribution to Cultural Studies, with aspirations to undertake doctoral research.
