The MTCP Scholarship is sponsored by the Malaysian Government and dedicated to international students from developing countries to pursue their postgraduate studies in Malaysia, whilst at the same time acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that could contribute to the development of their country. The duration of the award is between 24 to 36 months for Master's Degree Programme covering any mode of study (Coursework, Mixed Mode and Research).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• International students from the MTCP recipient countries.
• Not more than 45 years old on the date of application.
• Minimum Second Class Upper (Honours) / CGPA 3.00 at undergraduate level.
• English language requirements: IELTS overall score of 6.0 and above; or TOEFL iBT total score of 60 and above; or obtained a previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of instruction.

BENEFITS

• Tuition fees for the whole sponsorship period will be paid directly to the university upon issuance of invoice by the university;
• Monthly allowance will be paid directly to your Malaysian bank account; and
• A one-time economy class flight ticket from the student’s closest international airport to Malaysia for the start of the scholarship programme and a return ticket to the student’s home country upon the completion of the scholarship programme.
