TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS
1. BI Presidential Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales to be considered.
Students in the 3rd year of the Sivøk programme are eligible to apply.
Candidates with Norwegian or international citizenship. Candidates with international citizenship who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Norway are considered residents of Norway for this scholarship.
Candidates admitted to the first year of a Master of Science degree programme at campus Oslo or campus Bergen, with the exception of the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.
Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.
Scholarship Award
Norwegian and International Applicants who are residents of Norway: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.
International Applicants: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for up to two years and a stipend for living expenses of NOK 50,000 per semester, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.
Academic Progession Requirements
All candidates must meet academic progression requirements to maintain their scholarship. Detailed requirements are included in the Scholarship Agreement
Full study progression (30 ECTS) in each semester.
Minimum cumulative GPA of a "B" on the BI ECTS scale after completion of each academic semester.
Candidates who are awarded the BI Presidential Scholarship must be prepared to be "BI Ambassadors", acting as spokespeople, assisting in recruitment efforts, and promoting a good study environment. Scholarship recipients will be informed about responsibilities during the academic year.
2. A. Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship Program
Eligibility Criteria
International applicants who are citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland and who reside outside of Norway at the time of application.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must apply for admission to, and be accepted in, a Master of Science program at BI Norwegian Business School.
Scholarship Award
The value of this scholarship is NOK 250.000 annually. The scholarship will be administered by BI who is also responsible for the academic follow-up of the recipients. Study progression by the recipients will be followed, and scholarship payments to the student for each semester of the master's degree are dependent on satisfactory study progression, as outlined in the Scholarship Contract.
