Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand Tongarewa International Scholarships 2025 is available to undertake Masters, Postgraduate level programs at Victoria University of Wellington.
Following subject are available to study under this scholarship program.
- All Subjects
Scholarship Value: $5,000 or $10,000
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
- International Students: Applicants must be international students who are paying full international tuition fees.
- New Students: They must be either:
- Entering their first year of an undergraduate degree program.
- Entering a postgraduate degree program.
Ineligibility:
- New Zealand Secondary Education: Applicants who completed their secondary education at a New Zealand school are not eligible.
- English Language Programs: Students who have completed the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) or Foundation Studies Program are not eligible.
- Study Abroad or Twinning Students: Individuals participating in Study Abroad or Twinning programs from overseas partner universities are not eligible.
- Continuing Students: Students entering their second year of the same degree program at Victoria University of Wellington are not eligible.
Selection Process
A selection panel consisting of appropriate staff from Wellington University International will review the applications.
As part of your online application, provide the following:
- A personal statement (up to 500 words) explaining why you wish to study at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, outlining your academic goals, and demonstrating why you deserve the scholarship. Be sure to include details of any leadership roles and your involvement in your school or community.
- Full academic transcripts and other relevant documentation based on the qualification type.
- An offer of place from Victoria University of Wellington (conditional or unconditional).
