The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, generously awards 40 scholarships to overseas scholars. The nation’s commitment to linguistic variety and cultural interchange is reflected in the ARICE Scholarship 2025, which aims to promote the Romanian language and culture. Successful applicants will get a free year-long Romanian language preparatory course, acknowledging the importance of language learning in promoting greater cultural immersion.

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for the ARICE Scholarship Program:

 

• Except for EU citizens, all nationals are eligible for the scholarship.
• Citizens of non-EU and non-EFTA states are given preference.
• Citizens of Romania are not eligible.
• Eligible citizens are those who have applied for protection in Romania.
• Eligibility is denied to citizens who hold a permanent residency permit in Romania.
