Xiamen University offers multiple scholarships to all International Students from around the world to undertake Bachelors, Masters or PhD Degree from China. Detail of each scholarship is given below:

• Complete Tuition fee
• On-campus accommodation fee or off-campus accommodation monetary subsidy (RMB 700/month for master’s programs; RMB 1,000/month for doctoral programs)
• Living allowance (RMB 3,000/month for master’s programs; RMB 3,500/month for doctoral programs).

Note: Other expenses for study in China, such as international travel expenses, cost of physical examination, security deposit and utility costs for on-campus accommodation, and cost of course materials, should be borne by the scholarship recipients themselves.

Students have to meet the following criteria to apply for Xiamen University CSC Scholarships 2026 in China:

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
• Educational background and age limits (as of September 1, 2026)
• Bachelor’s programs: hold a high school diploma or above and be under the age of 25
• Master’s programs: hold a bachelor’s degree or above and be under the age of 40
• Doctoral programs: hold a master’s degree or above and be under the age of 45.

A comprehensive review will be conducted on applicant’s academic record, language proficiency, overall merits, research achievements and their prospective supervisor’s comments. The shortlisted candidates will be submitted to the university authorities for final approval.

The final results will be published at https://admissions.xmu.edu.cn in early August. Scholarships awardees will be notified via email. Admission Notices and Visa Application Forms for Study (JW202) will be sent out afterwards.

• First, head to the official application portal for the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and choose the Type B – University Program under Agency No. 10384 (XMU). Fill out the form in English or Chinese and sign it.
• Next, go to Xiamen University’s online application platform and upload your completed CSC application form along with any required documents. You only need to submit electronically—no paper copies required.
• If you’re applying for a master’s or doctoral program, secure a pre‑acceptance letter from your prospective supervisor at XMU (signed and stamped by the relevant college) and submit it as part of your online application.
• Gather all other required documents—such as your academic transcripts, degree certificates, language proficiency proof, and two recommendation letters—and upload them via the application portal. Ensure all materials meet the versions and formats specified in the official guide.
• Once you’ve submitted everything, your application will be evaluated on your academic record, language ability, research experience, and the feedback from your prospective supervisor. Shortlisted candidates will be forwarded for final approval by the CSC.
• Final scholarship results will be published on Xiamen University’s admissions website around July or August. Make sure you keep an eye on the site and your email for updates.
• After you accept the award, prepare for enrolment by arranging travel, applying for a visa, and attending any orientation or pre‑arrival activities as directed by the University.
