Based on Sections 25–26 and 26/A and Point 13) of Annex 1 of the Regulation on Student Fees and Benefits (hereinafter: RSFB) constituting Part 4 of the Student Requirements, Volume III of the ROO, the Corvinus University of Budapest (hereinafter referred to as the University) hereby launches a call for applications for foreign students only for the Corvinus Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Scholarship) announced within the framework of the 2025 admission procedure for programmes in a foreign language (institutional admission procedure) from the autumn semester of the 2025/2026 academic year to the English-language Master of Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Management and Leadership (CEMS) master programmes offered in daytime delivery (hereinafter referred to as the supported programme) as follows.

The purpose of the Corvinus Scholarship available under this application is to support the payment of the semestrial tuition fee (hereinafter referred to as “programme cost”) payable by the student participating in a self-funded programme.

The scholarship is open to students who are admitted to the English-language MBA, Finance, and Management and Leadership (CEMS) master programmes offered in daytime delivery in the 1st (autumn) semester of the 2025/2026 academic year under the institutional admission procedure and who pay their own programme cost.

Maximum number of Corvinus scholarship holders available under the application:
a) MBA: 15 persons
b) Finance: 15 persons
c) Management and Leadership: 15 persons -
The maximum amount of the scholarship per semester shall be equivalent to the programme cost payable by the student (after the applicable reductions).

The scholarship is granted for a given programme, i.e. for studies pursued in a given delivery mode, study programme, language, and place of programme for the duration defined in the programme and outcome requirements.

The maximum number of funded semesters may be extended by up to one (1) semester upon reasonable request due to participation in an exchange programme abroad.

Eligibility period: duration of the programme plus one semester.

This period may be extended by one additional semester on grounds deserving special consideration (illness, childbirth, exchange, compulsory practice).

One application may be submitted for the Corvinus Scholarship.

The main application period is open to applicants who have received a favourable admission decision by 31 May 2025.

Applications must be submitted in the Neptun Unified Education Administration System between 10:00 a.m. on 22 April 2025 and 12:00 noon on 4 June 2025.

For applications submitted during the main period, the Dean of the Master Study Programme Portfolio will decide by 6 June 2025.

A supplementary application may be made within the remaining budget.

Applicants with favourable admission decisions by 15 August 2025 may apply during the supplementary period.

Supplementary application deadline: 12:00 noon on 19 August 2025 (Neptun System).

Decisions on supplementary applications will be made by 22 August 2025.

Minimum requirement: at least 75 points in the admission procedure.

Applicants must have a valid bank account in the same currency as the scholarship.

Ranking criteria:
a) Admission points (higher = better)
b) If equal, earlier admission decision date
c) If still equal, earlier application date -
Eligible students are those admitted under this call, self-funded, and meeting the conditions above.
Applicants are not eligible if:
a) They are beneficiaries of Stipendium Hungaricum, Diaspora Higher Education Scholarship, or any full scholarship covering programme cost.
b) Their programme cost is paid by a third party (e.g. employer).

The Corvinus Scholarship may only be awarded once at the same academic level.

Exception: students voluntarily terminating their status under proper conditions may reapply.

Scholarship ceases if:
a) Training contract is terminated.
b) Student status ends.
c) Student switches to another programme, mode, or language.
d) Funded semesters are exhausted.
e) Eligibility period exceeded.
f) Academic requirements not met. -
No scholarship is awarded during suspended semesters, but entitlement resumes upon reactivation.

The University reviews eligibility annually by 31 July.

Requirements for continued eligibility:
a) Cumulative credit-weighted average ≥ 3.80
b) At least 46 credits completed
c) Formula: ∑(credits × grade) / ∑ credits -
Review considers all subjects completed in the assessed semesters.

Students losing eligibility may appeal to the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs (subject to fee).

A student funded through the scholarship must:
a) Repay the semester’s scholarship if suspending studies.
b) Obtain a diploma within twice the programme duration, or repay the full scholarship.
c) Repay if student status is terminated. -
No repayment is required if switching within the University and completing the successor programme within the allowed time.

Only one Corvinus Scholarship may be held per student per semester.

Application form in Paragraph 15) must be submitted; no extra documents required.

The admission and scholarship decisions become effective upon enrolment.
