Applicants must:

Be classified as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes

Be a citizen or permanent resident of a low-income or lower-middle-income country according to the World Bank

Not have previously studied abroad

Not hold a qualification equivalent to or higher than a Master’s degree

Not be in receipt of any other scholarship funding

Be self-funded aside from this scholarship

Study full-time only

Not defer entry and commence studies in 2026

Meet all academic offer conditions and obtain a UK student visa

Apply for admission and secure an offer from the University of Sheffield for one of the eligible programmes

Submit an application for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Master’s Scholarship following the university’s instructions

Complete and submit all required documents by 1 June 2026.
