Benefits

Eligibility

• Open to both domestic and international students.
• Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with Honours, or a Master’s degree containing a substantial research component (involving a thesis, dissertation, or research project equivalent to at least 25% of one year of study).
• Applicants should normally have achieved at least Second Class, First Division in their qualifying degree.
• Must meet the University of Waikato’s doctoral admission requirements.
• Must secure a potential supervisor at the university whose research interests match their proposed topic and obtain an "Invitation to Apply".

• A clear and specific PhD research proposal.
• Evidence of previous research (e.g., details of a Master’s thesis or dissertation).
